The Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning announces a major conference entitled "Reassessing the Foreign Language Curriculum in the Age of Globalization: Responses to the MLA Report on Foreign Languages and Higher Education" to be held at Brown University on April 4 & 5, 2008. Registration is $25 for the conference, and an additional $50 for the banquet with our keynote speaker, the Chinese-American author Ha Jin. The Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning is an association of ten institutions of higher education (the Ivy League colleges and universities, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Chicago) established in 1986 and dedicated to the study and instruction of second languages at the post-secondary level.
