Executive Director Merle Krueger

The position of Executive Director of the Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning is a part-time post, held by an employee of a member institution. Merle Krueger assumed the directorship in June, 2005. Since 1989 he has served as Associate Director of the Center for Language Studies at Brown University. In 1981 he received the Ph.D. in German Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Before coming to Brown he taught German at MIT, Colby College, and Furman University. In addition to publishing articles and books on German literature and culture, he has co-edited the volume "Language and Content: Discipline- and Content-Based Approaches to Language Study" with Frank Ryan (D.C.
